Gordon Brown will never be the man Margaret Thatcher was in her day. In fact, I’d still bet on her in hand to hand combat with this wuss.
To: bruinbirdman
A real Hail Mary pass (not that Brown *believes* in God)I'll wager.Brown is apparently very,*very* unpopular in Britain and it looks like he's gonna throw as much sh*t against the wall and see if any of it sticks.

The guy is on a bad path with low ratings and then he patheticly attack the old tough Ms. THATCHER....
Many analysts told that the good health of UK economy when BLAIR was in charge was founded on THATCHER’s hard reforms...

Margaret Thatcher hasn’t been PM for a long time, Gordon. What’s your excuse?
To: bruinbirdman
That’s akin to blaming RR for everything - that may go down like a .... well, you know.

You’re not kidding!
I was watching some clips of the PM question time, and the conservative leader was literately making him his b*tch.
Lady Thatcher would annihilate him.

No wonder Gordon Brown's popularity is in the toilet. In the 1970's Labour was in power. The so called "Winter of Discontent" was during a labour administration. Unemployment was rising dramatically and the public service sector was in a state of collapse. Margaret Thatcher only got into power in 1979 after the Labour Government had made a complete botch of the whole UK economy.
Talk about re-writing history.

We lived in Britain in the mid 80’s. Thatcher had just started taking apart the Socialist structure. She offered up British Telecom for citizens to buy shares of before the rest of the world. There was another, I can't recall but maybe the nationalized gas company, where citizens were offered shares before the company went public. The Dems want to Nationalize (read Socialize) everything in this country. It is VERY difficult to go back from Socialism. Pray for our country.

My brother-in-law’s father directed the KingstonUpon-Hull Compact to reconfigure the Britsih School system towards educating the youth in fields such as engineering instead of being Baristers. It was underThe Iron Lady that Britain made this change away from a Victorian attitude and into the 21st Century. The Libs killed it.
