He drove me insane sometimes as far left as he was, but By God he was funny. And didn’t let ANYONE tell him what to say and I respect him for that.
And he was always great as voices in my kids’ movies.
Miss you much Mr. Carlin.
I couldn’t agree more. His political and religious stuff rubbed me the wrong way, but he was so talented I was able to look past it. Class Clown was an album I wore out when I was young. I saw him at the Garde in New London back in ‘93 on the Carlin on Campus tour. I’m glad I did. God he made me laugh. A consummate satirist.
He was so much funnier on TV than he was live. I was disappointed when we saw his show. The first couple of ‘f’ bombs were shockingly funny, then it got old really fast when it turned out to be every other ‘f’ing’ word. Much better when he was on TV and had to be creatively funny as opposed to just saying that word every 2 seconds. Not much creativity working there, I walk outside the high school and hear the same stuff.
