I agree.
We missed an opportunity. We should have invaded Alberta already, or at least re-negotiated the border significantly. The Canadians don’t need that much oil. If we stole it, they would be hurt but would get over it. Manifest Destiny was never fulfilled.
Actually we should trade the northeastern states for Alberta and British Columbia.
