“Did ya really think it would be different?”

I hoped, I really did. I am very disillusioned on this issue.

Many conservatives right here on FR say there is no difference between the two candidates. So what is problem with voting for a man because of his race? It is eenie-meanie-minie-mo.

I think it is two-face for some people here (I don’t know if you are one, I’m not saying you are) to state it makes no difference to vote because McCain and Obama have the same policies and then say it is also wrong for some to see race as a “tie-breaker” between the two.

I hate to say this, but it makes me wonder if I should support Black conservatives any more, if race trumps prolife and other conservatism. How do I know which conservative Blacks will disappoint me, and which ones won’t?

And even the ones who remain loyal to prolife, and other conservatism, how do I know if they will put other Blacks in power positions, rather than the best person for the job?

I contributed campaign $$ to at least two conservative Black politicians, but don’t know if I will again, unless I’m ABSOLUTELY sure they will put CONSERVATISM before race!

I am part Italian but would never support Giuliani, because he is an antilife, LIBERAL.

Come to think of it, maybe I will e-mail J.C. Watts and Armstrong with my thoughts.

One candidate I don’t blame Williams or Watts for not supporting is definitely Alan Keyes.

If he could have ever gotten elective office and showed his mettle there, his qualifications would have quadrupled. But he couldn’t.

Many factors might be blamed, but the most telling one is that Keyes is a preacher and pontificator. He is angry and shouts his message. His point is “they’re ALL wrong...ALL of ‘em, except for ME”.

It doesn’t work.

When will people learn that and admit that??

Not “just” abortion - he’s excited to kill the occasional living child delivered after a failed abortion.

Unbelievably wicked.

“When Allen Keyes was running for president, as probably one of the most brilliant candidates we have ever seen”

ROTFLMAO!! What kind of crack is the author smoking??

“What is it about this man that has thoughtful, conservative blacks like Armstrong Williams and JC Watts saying they might vote for him?”

Armstrong Williams is neither thoughtful or conservative but a paid for political hack whoring himself out for $$$. And no, its not excusable that the Bush Administration was the one writing the checks.

Why should J.C. Watts vote for McCain? Many other conservatives refuse. If he won’t vote for McCain, why not vote for Obama, why not?

And is voting for someone because of their race "less racist" than voting against that person because of their race?

Here's what I keep hearing many principled conservatives saying: they want someone to vote FOR. They are tired of voting AGAINST someone.

Okay, so some conservative blacks want to vote FOR someone, too. They don't want to vote AGAINST Obama and they can't vote for Mccain.

Alan Keyes is 3 x the intellect of Barry, where was JC?

Keyes is abundantly qualified and can't get the time of day from blacks.

B. Hussein "Osama"* Obama plagiarizes Bill Cosby, Cosby is trashed and blacks sing the Hallelujah chorus to Obama.

Entitlement and victim hood has made many blacks logic dysfunctional.

Blaming black conservatives for maybe voting for Obama is not winning strategy either when there is no GOP candidate to vote for.

Watts said that his remark about Obama being more dedicated to issues of poverty and urban policy

In a way, this was brilliant set-up for failure of Obama because no donkey policy on poverty or urban issues CAN succeed, even if pursued by a dedicated black man who empathize with young, poor, single mothers.

They get policy wrong because they get human nature wrong. There is no possibility Obama can succeed in wiping out poverty than LBJ did.

Before this, I was a big JC Watts fan; now, I see, he’s just another racial whore. What next, JC, reparations? Oh, that’s right trillions in welfare is just a small part of that, but you and yours need more, lots more from Whitey.

Voting for President should be more about the candidates character than particular positions on issues. No one knows what issues will be thrust upon a President. No one knew that 9/11 would be thrust upon George W. Bush. So I put it to many of you on FR. Who is the man of better character in 2008? Truthfulness is part of character. Who is more truthful? McCain or Obama?

“Some” in front of the headline would be a bit more helpful.

JC Watts or Armstrong Williams voting for Obama is not too surprising. We’ll know that hell has frozen over if Clarence Thomas votes for Obama.

Actually, Armstrong Williams’ comments were out of context. Basically he said he wishes he could be “part of history” and vote for the first black President, but he can’t, because Obama is not the man who should be it. At least that’s how he explained it from what I heard.

Some of us still remember the LT Col for other things as well. The Army drove away one hell of an officer.

Don’t bring Michael Steele into this, he has EMPHATICALLY stated he will NOT vote for Obama and will work hard to defeat him.

I just told Armstrong Williams how I feel, and you can, too! Here's his e-mail: info@armstrongwilliams.com If I had J.C. Watts's e-mail, I would contact him, as well.

This election campaign has exposed what is in the heads of black folks. JC Watts has been a hero in the Sooner State. He essentially has lived a lie! A vote for Osam....bama by Watts reveals him to be a hypocrite of the highest order....yes, even a RACIST....when the color of skin transcends common sense and spiritual values!
