Good morning, FRiends! Happy Summer! I'm still fuming over Alisyn's rant this week during the segment on the headscarf women at Barry's campaign event. Ms. Camerota was screaming about how Barry is and always has been a Christian and the poor, poor thing has even had to start a website to fight these awful smears and you can read all the evil things that people say about him on her blog (how she plugs that blog). I was so disgusted I turned them off...which is rare for me because I do like Steve and Brian. On the weekends I will not watch...I am usually tuned in to Lifetime, only Barry (and Mac) are being featured in ads for Army Wives so there is no escape from Obamamercials. Did you hear he is doing TV ads during the Olympics?

I think the Law of the Sea allows each country 250 miles offshore unless they can prove they have a continental shelf that goes out further. Than they can have 350 miles.

My big question is what stops the oil companies from telling everyone to go to hell "they are in international waters" and just do what ever they want if we never passed the bill in total?

Phsstpok was actually doing well when I saw him. He thinks he’s found the cause of his horrendous medical problems but is not willing to say more until he gets back to see his chain of doctors again.

He just about collasped on Weds afternoon, but all the walking folks do at these places could exhaust a horse, so it is understandable it would tire him out. His wife came and got him so he he was alright the next day.

He told me he made the conscious decision to avoid politics completely while he was so ill. After a few minutes, though, I had him going on about Obama, Clinton, and McCain, the surge, the driveby media, etc, etc, just like old times! The man really knows politics, that’s for sure.

Here’s to hoping he’s found the source of his maladies, his rapid cure, and that he will come back to our Sunday thread!
