...
Members of the Alabama Free Militia claimed their weapons were for self-defense. But ATF bomb experts say faulty fuses on the homemade grenades made them highly dangerous not only to the public, but the militia members themselves.
The seven defendants in the Alabama Free Militia investigation have pled guilty to various weapons charges. Now that theyre behind bars, the ATF is able to wrap up this case with a bang. Click on the video to see the dramatic results.

The better question is: Who cares? and what is anyone willing to do about it?
The ATF, Nancy Pelosi and Huessien know us to be complacent little lap dogs.

Most privately manufactured bombs are unsafe ~ PERIOD.
So, yeah, I feel safer.
I learned as a child that Molotov cocktails were so easy to make there was little sense in acquiring the critical ingredients much before the need to launch.
BTW, don't use polycarbonate bottles ~ they don't break on impact!

No,
It separated the wheat from the chaff, said Jim Cavanaugh, special agent in charge of the ATFs Nashville Field Division.

This is not a crime, stupidity maybe, but not a crime. Of course if it was legal to own grenades, people wouldn't be rolling their own. Seen many designed and built from scratch semiautomatic ugly black guns? You do see "kits", but that's hardly the same thing.

It separated the wheat from the chaff, said Jim Cavanaugh, special agent in charge of the ATFs Nashville Field Division. Wasn't this guy one of the raid commanders at Waco? .... Oh, not quite. He was the "negotiator" who promised one thing, and delivered another. Namely that the children let go would be placed with relatives. Instead they were delivered into the not so tender clutches of the Texas CPS, all broadcast on national TV of course.

Absolutely nothing you are told by a member of law enforcement is to be believed. Not only can they freely lie to you, there is no recourse for promises made and broken.
You can be certain of one thing, if you are in a position opposite to that taken by law enforcement, you can expect lies on top of lies and all of it delivered with absolute saccharine sincerity.
Negotiators exist for the singular purpose of getting the "bad guy" to lower his guard so he can be taken out one way or the other.

"I thought the lefties thought that the 2nd A protects militias." Did our founders worry about what the Brits thought?
They knew rights were not up for debate nor did they debate for their rights.
They killed for their rights.

The whole militia movement thing is a bit scary to me. Maybe “Scary” is the wrong word. While I respect the principle, one has to face facts: There is no way any militia organization can possibly stand up to and prevail over the professional military or even the police. Any effectiveness in resistance to the established powers would have to be largely symbolic. And I sincerely hope that that would be good enough.
Unfortunately, my impression of modern militias is a bunch of delusional fat bozos with large collections of military styled guns who get together once a month to dress up in camo, drink beer and share a lot of big talk about conspiracy theories. In other words: a sad joke. But then again, isn’t that what the British thought of the American militia in 1776?
