The two presidential candidates will discuss matters of interest for the latin american community in this country.

The Angeles.- The two main presidential candidates, Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama, will be the guests of honor at the third Latin American National Congress, that will be carried out on July 18 and 19 in Los Angeles.

The organizers confirmed the participation of the two politicians in the event, that will be performed in an exclusive hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, where it is expected that more than 300 organizations of 20 cities will attend.

On the first day, McCain will be presented during lunch and Obama at dinner. The two virtual presidential candidates will discuss matters of interest for the latin american community in this country.

In the First National Latin American Congress of 2006, 70 resolutions on diverse issues were taken and 260 local and national organizations assisted, in 2007 300 cities attended and 98 resolutions were adopted.

Among the issues undertaken during both congresses were educational reform, migration, public health, urban development and foreign policy, among others.

The organizers advanced that they prepare an ambitious agenda to promote the registration of millions of latin Americans as new voters in order to continue growing like a political force that can influence the elections next November.

The leader of Latin-American Mexican Brotherhood and the Mexican-American Political Association (MAPA), Nativo López, indicated that the young voters can make the difference in the electoral mobilization.

'In this electoral year we should move and act as a united family and no one is left behind', indicated López, who considered that another of the issues that will be emphasized in the debate will be driver's licenses for ILLEGAL aliens.

Among the organizations that will attend the event are the Willie C. Velásquez Institute, the League of Latin-American United Citizens (LULAC), the Mexican-american Educational and Legal Defense Fund (MALDEF) and the National Network of Day Laborers (NDLON).

As well as the Hispanic Federation, the Educational Project of Registration of Voters of the Southwest (SVREP), the National Alliance of Latin-American and Caribbean Communities (NALACC) and the Hispanic National Council on Environment (NHEC).

The Event will be on:

July 18th - 19th 2008

The Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles
& at the Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown

“become merely opposite wings of the same bird”

-——somehow simply the BEST analogy, and the best symbol
I’ve yet heard about the lack of difference between the parties: that bird is always gonna take you to the same
place. We need a second bird.

Having said that, it looks even more powerful as an analogy, in that you regard the strenuous working of both wings,(the way both Parties strenuously pretend to be “at odds” with one another, but are actually in sync) and realize that it is THEY and THEY ALONE that are going to take that bird to the same place.

If camp McCain were smart

Right. And if the moon were made of green cheese, we could fly up there and have a feast.

Fact is, McCain knows who he's dealing with in these Reconquistas. They're all a bunch of communists. And as always, he has an affinity with them, and hates conservatives.

Conservatives failed to capture the attention of Republicans, effectively removing themselves as a factor this election.

Huckaboob's man-crush for MacCain, when it was obvious his remaining in was distorting the primary process, was also destructive. IOW, no small thanks should go to the snakehandler from Arkansas for helping to foist MacCain on us.

The GOP has been given a message: They can win without us So Called Conservatives.

That's because there are still enough CINO's in the GOP who'll drink the Kool-Aid on command. And as too winning without us, as soon as MacWhacko is annointed at the convention, the MSM will start McCain-Feingolding him up his backside.

I thought we are supposed to use actual titles, especially when posting an article in Frontpage news.

The actual title is:

Asistiran McCain y Obama a Congreso Nacional Latino en Los Angeles

Which even non-Spanish speaking people can translate easily, to the actual title:

McCain and Obama at the National Latin Congress in Los Angeles

“Wake Up!”

Sure you don’t mean GIVE up?

President Bush ALSO wanted amnesty, and we almost had it, but We the People fought back!

Let’s keep on fighting, folks.

Another thing we can do, besides bugging our reps, is to support CONSERVATIVES who are running for congresscritter, or U.S. Senator, even if they are not from our state. Call talk shows, write editor’s letter, contribute to their campaign, and keep posting on FR.

We will ESPECIALLY need reps to fight the good fight NOW, because we will most like have a liberal or a “moderate” for POTUS in 2009!

Well, sheesh, if you're going to do that, at least put a bracket behind the headline that tells the real tale.

[Communist Party USA-sponsored event]

NOwhere does it say anything about open borders.

http://latinocongreso.org/agenda?day=1

It is a forum to discuss things that are of interest to the Latino community.

The entire first day is about Presidential Election.

Day One Friday, July 18 2008: Presidential Issues and Elections

What did you want McCain to do, snub them and give all the Latino votes to Obama?

No. He belongs with them. They're birds of a feather.

The last thing I want to do is get into a “food fight”, but I thought FR prides itself on accuracy. The added info to the title, that “Communist Party USA sponsored event” is not correct — either exactly and even more incorrect in its implication, that the Communist Party is “THE” sponsor or a major sponsor.

The Communist party is NOT a sponsor of the event.

Here are the the sponsors:

http://latinocongreso.org/08sponsors

And here are the convening organization — the Communist party is NOT among them.

http://latinocongreso.org/convening

http://latinocongreso.org/co-convening

The Communist Party is only one of 24 ENDORSERS.

http://latinocongreso.org/endorsers

I hardly think that the Communist Party endorsment is a major point.

But whatever...

McCain will befriend any enemy.

Obviously, his supporters will defend anything from him.

*Pinging those who posted on this thread to make sure you know that because of the whining of a McCain supporter, the headline has now been scrubbed of the fact that McCain and Obama are participating in a Communist Party USA-endorsed event.

As far as I'm concerned the headline should be:

"Sens. McCain and Obama endorse Communists, America-haters & racist invaders of the United States by their participation in LA event

ROTFLOL!!

The McCain people aren’t dumb!! They know he’s making a mistake, and showing he’s a BIG FAT liar when it comes to illegal immigration.

So they need to do everything possible to cover up what he’s all about.

It was in parenthesis right? All kinds of subjects have an addendum in parenthesis to clarify the content of the article. It must be some sort of politically correct thing.
