I believe our forefathers thru the 2A reafirmed our right to both keep and to bear arms as an individual right. And I don’t believe they restricted that right to our homes. None of our other rights apply to us only while in our homes.

How about this scenario:

• Monday: Heller defeated, "no individual right" now established law.
• Nov. 2008: Dems sweep House, establish fillibuster proof majority in Senate.
• Nov 2008: Obama wins POTUS
• Feb 2009: full national gun bans ala England, Austrailia and Canada passed after a lone nut school shooting.

I agree. I don’t think that we could have all been wrong in relation to how we view the 2A for over 200 years. Maybe a new 2nd Ammendment should be written explaining this and leave no doubt as to what the words mean.
