Nor do I. And Rush, (my comment to Ron above), I think he has the tactical skills, but no female skew. The women that Rush appeals to are not a major market share. Granted we’re talking about Sunday programming, but there are people who wait all week to catch up with this instition. The wrong face, the wrong chemistry, wouldn’t serve the network well when every 20 seconds a stellar new journalista invades the cable industry by storm.
Political bias aside, Rush is great at talking but I can't see him as an interviewer. I don't see him asking questions, waiting for answers, then asking another question. Rush has the answers already, and isn't the kind of guy to sit on them. He's tremendous in his own forum. And Meet the Press isn't it. And I think Rush would be the first to agree with that, because if nothing else he's honest.
The clean and sober remark is highly uncalled for and not even based in reality. It's just as bad as saying Rush started the whitey rumor, no base in fact and an outright lie
