Rather appropriate this is in Massachusetts. Kiddie porn charges are becoming the new Salem witch trials.

Sounds like they’re flocking to the porn stuff because it’s easy to track? Maybe they should do some more actual police work & investigation.

Funny how porn is legal, but viewing it apparently is not. It sounds like the ultimate gotcha.

the it department needs a shake up.
1. the loaner computers should be wiped after use.
2. He shouldnt have any rights to install anything infectious
3.network should have blocked him, but then I think he was using an aircard and maynot have been on their infrastructure.

Witch trials is correct. Anyone guilty of propagation of kiddie porn should fry IMO, but at the same time I don’t like witch hunts. I don’t know if the guy is guilty or not. I’ve been in computers and IT work for over 20 years and can tell you that most of these kinds of virus’ come from visiting porn sites and clicking things there. The next large chunck comes from clicking links in emails which tend to be inappropriate. The investigation should dig much deeper, and at the same time his presumption of innocence should be maintained.
