Interesting that this would come out after the DRILL NOW campaign has really gotten HUGE momentum. I don’t believe a word of it. We have had weird weather for a few years now so I wouldn’t be surprised if we had a bad hurricane and more tornadoes but that does NOT mean it’s a result of global warming.
They are setting up for the horrible Oceans 21 legislation that is moving out of committee soon.
It creates a sort of department of homeland security for the oceans by federalizing the oceans and giving control to the federal government over all water that flows into the oceans.
It ‘legitimizes’ NOAA turning into the EPA of the ocean—remember the EPA ushered in ‘sustainable development’ property rights abuses.
It is authored by Sam Farr, based on an agenda from the Pew Ocean Research group and Julie Packard, who I think is on the board a Pew or somehow affiliated with the group.
It is VERY bad legislation, and they’ll slip it in completely under the radar.
