It may very well happen here, city by city. Look at the demographics - fewer shooters and hunters per capita than 20 years ago. Yes, the NRA will put up a fight and the bogus American Hunters and Shooters Association (AHSA) will have diffculty attracting new members but the Libs and their urban and suburban supporters (in the form of Dems or RINOs) gain strength every year.

Just look at Mark Kirk (R-IL) and “assault” weapons. What a nimrod! He’s playing into the hands of the Libs. Years ago his congressional district was reliably conservative and Republican; now, not so much. The influence of the left-leaning media and academic communities upon younger generations has been greater than many assume. Even worse, older folks are now buying into that crap. I don’t know if it’s dementia or a desire to be connected but it’s darn sad.

Welcome to the club. I am a NBT (native born Texan) and don't consider myself average. But, the discussion is about the so called average person at if he/she will be motivated to step across the line. Or, as in the French Revolution, meet at the barricades. And, aside from unaverage folks such as yourself, I don't believe that so called average folks would be willing to make the big step over this issue.

I understand what the issue is. However, the question is will the great unwashed join you at the metaphorical barricades? I don't believe that the average person would be willing to walk away from home, job, family for this and become a wanted and hunted criminal, that's all...

1 in 10 would actively resist and be burned to death of gunned down in their homes with their families.

A handful of examples made and the rest would fall into line. Terror is a handy tool in the hands of an unscrupulous government and ours had had what few scruples it once possessed stripped away decades ago.

Today freedom and liberty doesn't mean what it once did. If it did, Kelo would have brought people into the streets demanding the heads of the fools in black.
