This is bad.
I would not want a sex offender in my neighborhood. But this will give ammunition to those who want to grant sex offenders annonimity and you from knowing who the offenders are in your area.

I wouldn’t want a sex offender in my neighborhood either, but if there has to be one, let me have the guy who is seven feet three inches tall. At least you wouldn’t have to worry about being able to pick him out of a crowd.
