Why is this school still open?

Short answer: Saudi big bucks.

Last month, the Fairfax County (VA) board renewed the school's lease, despite the fact that there was ample evidence of language in their text books that speak of killing infidels and apostates to the faith. The board gleefully accepted Saudi Arabia's multi-million dollar payment for the lease and quashed any concerns about the textbook.
