I grew up west of Madera on a ranch/farm. We had an 8N which I used to cultivate,use a plow,disc and haul a flat bed cotton trailer for alfalfa bales and picking up hard pan. Great general purpose tractor. Used it with a skip loader for cow manure as well.
Lots of memories for me there in that statement AF. A 8N with a loader is a beautiful sight compared to a Farmall model H with a loader that looks like a weapon from outta space...
John Deere,, an A and a B,, putt putt putt putt, used with a frontloader and saw and other PTO equipment like manure spreaders and silo loaders.
we had IH, Ford, Allis Chalmers, massey ferguson all over the area, county fair was the best time to see them all slicked up.
