You just felt this sudden urge to be a jackass

Yep, I just couldn't resist trolling you after you said you didn't want to hear from us. Sorry, but it was fun! And you have to admit an element of truth to my point, otherwise you wouldn't have been irritated.

Freegards!

My advice — tell these Marxist dupes to shove it and immediately withdraw your child from that school District.

I’m not so sure about all of this...Is there ANY parent that would willingly allow someone to surgically implant a “tracking” devise in their child???

I mean they might be duped into thinking this is a safety issue, but how do you sell this idea...I mean the suggestion alone if it were my kid, a person coming to me and telling me I have to do this, is probably going to have something else implanted into them for just asking me to allow this to be done to my kid...

This has got to be someones wet dream, gone terribly wrong...Like I’ve said, I hope this terrible idea doesn’t come down this way...

If they wanted (and are) to tag backpacks and other kids belongings, fine, it was never going to give them the results they truely wanted, but it is an incremental step to getting a device implanted into the kids, and eventually us, for whatever reason or justification they can think of...

I have a slight problem with this...Call me crazy, but I do...

HA! lol I don’t even remember posting this, it’s been so long! Has something happened that brought it to FReeper attention again? If so, I’m out of the loop this time!

Didn’t a school district in California try this and the parents said no thanks? I hope they do the same thing here also, where do schools come off thinking they have the right to tag someone else’s kids?

Yes - that school district wanted to introduce RFID chips into school ID cards. A reader can be purchased, by anyone, for around a hundred dollars..... and can be used near the sidewalk as the kids walk by - and Bingo! - there is the name and address of the kid on the reader.

CA passed a statewide moratorium. I forget when it expires.

But while fighting about this, it came out that one of the big medical insurance companies had spent a quarter of a million dollars on chips for its patients...... and it will one day want to use them.

CA passed a statewide moratorium.

Thanks for the update, this should be done throughout the country. I'm not quite sure what interest medical insurance companies would have but they will never force one of their chips on me.
