Support Terrorists? Yes We Can! (Snappy Take on Israel/Obama/Supremes) by Jack Engelhard

The meter is running on our survival.

From the beginning, Barack Obama has mesmerized the multitudes with his chant, "Yes we can!"

His worshipful millions dutifully provide the hallelujah chorus - "YES WE CAN!"

Therefore, can we say that Obama supports the Supreme Court's 5-4 ruling which grants Gitmo terrorist detainees the same Constitutional rights as American citizens?

YES WE CAN!

This is what he said in consent: "This is an important step toward re-establishing our credibility as a nation committed to the rule of law." (Since when are foreign combatants part of our nation?)

Can we say that, if elected, Obama would seat more extreme leftist justices like Anthony Kennedy who provided the swing vote in favor of the terrorists?

YES WE CAN!

With a background so murky, can we say that if elected, we don't know what Obama will do, or which side he's on?

YES WE CAN!

(For the record, this voter is not nuts about John McCain, either, and I was first with the headline, months ago, "Three Stooges for President.")

Can we say that the Supreme Court of the United States, at least five of them, offered aid and comfort to our enemies?

YES WE CAN!

After he reversed himself on "united Jerusalem," can we say that Obama is Israel's friend on Monday but Israel's enemy on Tuesday?

YES WE CAN!

Can we assume that the court's decision was taken as a nod of approval by terrorists all around the world; that there was jubilation in the caves of Hizbullah?

YES WE CAN!

After Wednesday's landmark decision was made public, can we surmise that they were laughing at us in Riyadh and that Hamas was handing out candy in Gaza?

YES WE CAN!

Can we recognize that sticker shock at the pump is an economic act of terror on the part of those "oil producing nations," and that this too we take lying down?

YES WE CAN!

Can we say that Obama's word is not to be trusted, that he'll say whatever suits him at the moment?

YES WE CAN!

Can we say that somewhere in Iran or Syria or Pakistan or Afghanistan, or maybe driving a cab in New York, Osama bin Laden is rejoicing?

YES WE CAN!

Can we say the meter is running on our survival as a free people?

YES WE CAN!

Can we say that America's Supreme Court and Israel's Supreme Court are dunce-cap twins, that they often favor the other side, blithely unaware that we're at war?

YES WE CAN!

Can we agree with Justice Antonin Scalia when, in his dissent, he wrote: "America is at war with radical Islamists"?

YES WE CAN!

Can we further agree with Scalia when, in his dissent, he wrote that "today's opinion will make it harder on us. It will almost certainly cause more Americans to be killed"?

YES WE CAN!

Can we agree that more Israelis were killed by similar rulings issued by Israel's Supreme Court?

YES WE CAN!

Can we see that such judicial tyranny, as exists in America and in Israel, puts us all in the same boat - the Titanic?

YES WE CAN!

Can we again agree with Scalia when he wrote: "The nation will regret what the court did today"?

YES WE CAN!

Can we say that with Justice Kennedy on the high court and Obama in the White House we have found the enemy, and the enemy is us?

YES WE CAN!

[Let the hate mail begin.]
