A Guilty before innocent mentality
NONE of these men had the constitutional rights protected. Exculpatory evidence was witheld in each and every case
The difference between Haditha and Hamdania and the Iron Triangle case is, I believe, the fact that senior officers are involved in Haditha while the Pendleton8 and Iran Triangle involve junior enlisted men who DON'T have friends in high places
The OTHER sad connection is that the so-called patriotic news media was GIVEN a full accounting of evidences of command influence in all these cases and cases before, yet they chose to IGNORE it until now.
SSgt Girouard and Sgt Larry Hutchins are in jail and will be for years to come until people with influence and a wide audience actually put their money where their mouth is, humble themselves and admit they were TOLD that the Command Influence was ruining these men's lives, and start reporting back on the 2 previous cases to dig in to what is clearly a culture of corruption in the NCIS and JAG corps.
I mean, when the NCIS:
plants kiddie porn on your computer to get a confession,
forges your signature on documents where you ‘claimed guilt’,
refuses to release documents that would prove you were either innocent or acting under the present rules of engagement,
refuses to release the AUTOPSY of the alleged murdered man you are supposed to have killed because the autopsy doesn't match the story you made 7 men swear statements to...
this stuff is sickening.
