He ain’t Presidential, but he’s one fine Sheriff who understands politics.

Agreed, but many would say the same for President Bush, who by his own admission 'occasionally' jumbles a few words when speaking.  In his case, I think that many voters overlooked that in favor of his resolute determination in matters such as the War On Terror.

In the scenario of a President Arpaio candidacy, I think that many voters would be similarly impressed with his dedication to the rule of law....something that the Clinton "administration" didn't seem terribly interested in.

Arpaio is where he can get the most done. He knows that. Running for an office such as Mayor, Governor or even Washington would ruin his ability to clean up Phoenix. He built a reputation on tough love and will gladly take the latest Walking Tall Legacy.
