Barack Obama, Is he right for Michigan?
F-
Being a born and raised Michigander I especially like the “built in map”. Everyone gets a kick out of that in Tennessee when they ask where I grew up and I show them on my “built in map”.
Hell yea. That was great.
great ad, but SERIOUSLY! - HEAD'S UP...
He's alluding again, on tape, to the country folk - “small towns” - clinging to guns and religion AND “anti-immigration” AND “anti-Trade Center”!
We need to get this to Hannity, Rush, et al. He's been caught on tape saying it twice now, so it's a theme of his. AND he needs to be made to explain the “anti-Trade Center” remark. That's something a muzzy might say, but what real American would NOT be against the Trade Center Bombing?
Sounds like his muzzy thinking leaked out...Make him explain this on national TV
Weak????
Listen CAREFULLY - there's a time bomb in there - see my post #6
anti-trade sentiment.
The audio from the ‘bitter’ comment is hard to hear and needs to be accompanied with text of what he said. Many of the clips are too cut to make any sense.
Yeah, same in Houston! When the Wings and Pistons were in the playoffs, I'd usually meet a Michigander or two in the sports bars around town. The "I'm from right here" thing always gave the hometown folks a chuckle.
Hrm. I can see how someone not from the state would think that this is a weak ad, and it is if it’s shown outside of the state. Michigan is descending more and more into irrelevance as the state economy neuters itself via our governor. But that doesn’t render our electoral college votes worthless! Michigan is still one of the most populous states in the union, and being stiffed by a major candidate who calls the state ignorant is not the way to go about winning those votes.
The problem is, while Detroit is a huge voting bloc, in order to conclusively win the state the Democrats need to win the upper peninsula and northern half of the lower peninsula. These are the blue-collar voters that they count on, and telling them they cling to their guns and religion...
Well, they do. And they tended to vote Democrat. If they are reached via these sorts of commercials, maybe they’ll realize that their tendency to vote Democrat isn’t a good strategy.
Unless they like not having money or hunting or religion. Then by all means, Sen. Obama’s the way to go.
