I wouldn't be surprised to see President Bush's popularity rise in both the domestic press and public opinion. The only President who can really do harm is the current occupant, as Bush appears more like the known past the fear of him will subside and be replaced by fear of the next president, especially while we don't know who that will be. Nostalgia is the primary reason that Bill Clinton still has any popular support, he never accomplished anything, never faced a real national challenge (except maybe of his own making); Bush has a record that should hold up under the scrutiny of history.

Bush will be missed when one of his predecessors is getting smacked around like a little bitch by Iran and it's ilk..
Bush has been steadfast and all adversaries have had to think twice wondering how "crazy warmonger" Bush would react to various moves on the international scene.
When Bambi runs the show keep an eye on China/Taiwan and Iran.
