Franklin Raines was the biggest looter. I remember him having a good reputation before Fannie Mae. He was one of the more sober members of the Black Caucus in Congress. Then he was Bill Clinton’s budget director. I always figured he was on the up and up and had some brains.
I first read about him ripping off Fannie Mae five years ago
I guess Raines was biding his time in Congress, and as Bill Clinton’s budget director-—lying in wait for the day he could cash-in bigtime.
He was smart enough-——to cook F/M’s books in his favor.
Makes ya wonder how Raines got that particular wealth-producing position at Fannie Mae......and if he and Clinton had a quid pro quo going.
