Perhaps reality will set in with McCain as well. Grudging support won't win this election - that just means we'll all vote against Obama, which just won't do the trick..
Enthusiastic support means bumper stickers, yard signs, contributions, phone banks, walking neighborhoods, and GOTV efforts. And victory. If McCain wants that, then he's got to show leadership, and give me something to get enthusiastic about. I have yet to see a single McCain bumper sticker. If McCain doesn't fire up the traditional base of the GOP, he'll go the way of Alf Landon, Wendell Willkie, and Tom Dewey.
