The other thing that McCain forgets is that, in the unlikely event that he wins, he will have to govern.
The media will tear him apart, in their fury at an Obama loss. Conservatives did their best to defend Bush (even though he didn't seem interested in defending himself), but it is asking a bit much for us to go to the mat for McCain. Without a firm base of support, his Presidency is DOA. His precious Independants won't be there for him, again, because they are too "independant" to get involved more than every 4 years or so.

Bush seemed to go out of his way to piss all over the people who put him into office; here's hoping the MacCainiacs aren't too offended when, after their boy's in office, he drops trou' and defecates all over them.
