You know,If mcnutts was a conservative this wouldnt be a problem now would it.Maybe you should write a letter to the rnc complaining about there not being a conservative in the race.We dont vote for liberals regardless of party.Besides mcnutts should win with all the hilly and indy votes right?

"If not now...when? The next election? The next?"

I suppose the "scorched earth" policy appeals to you then? If you honestly believe that John McCain is as vile a candidate as Obama, then we, sir, are diametrically opposed on this point...

All I can say is that I pray to God you "anti-McCain-at-all-costs" folks are right...

Grunthor: Thought this might be of some interest to you, thanks.

EnigmaticAnomaly: You just had to do it, didn't you?

What is it about liberals (and McCain supporters) that you just can't get them to answer a straight question?

I'll try again. Which election do we take a stand? This one or the next, or the next?

When the GOP offers up a good Conservative with American freedom their main goal then I'll back them to the hilt. Until then, forget about it.

We Conservatives have been backed into a corner yet again and when we squawk about it we're accused of taking the “scorched earth” policy as our only choice. McCain threw his base under the bus and he and the U.S. will pay for it. I only hope it is temporary and Osambabama won't do too much damage if elected. Perhaps the GOP will wise up and remember the good old days when being a Republican meant that you didn't side with Dems, as McCain has done so often.

You vote for him and please do pray for us idiots that won't compromise our ethics and morals just to be part of the club (GOP).

Good night all.........panax

“one can employ the Phoenix strategy while still voting for McCain. You will have your GOP meltdown either way, and will have the comfort of knowing that you didn’t aid Obama and his leftists.” ......

“Conservatives love their country, and all true conservatives should make a commitment to doing what is right for America at every instance. Each vote is a choice made in time: a selection between two imperfect options for America’s immediate future. A vote is not a scheme for future political advantage” ....

” For the true conservative, such reflection can only lead to one conclusion. At this moment, in this election, for America’s sake, the conservative choice is John McCain.”

At this point in time it is right to just protect the country. Allowing a democrat to become president is not doing that. Not voting out of principle is actually voting for a Democrat.

That is not in the best interest of the country we all claim to love.

“how can he be a conservative, or even a man of common sense
if he rejects drilling in anwr.”

Did you read the article?

Who do you think we have a better chance of swaying to vote for drilling? MOST IMPORTANTLY.... Who do you think we have a better chance of getting to nominate the conservatives to SCOTUS in the next 8 years?

Obama? This will be a "hold your nose and do what is right for the country"

A dem in the presidency is NOT the right vote.

“If not now...when? The next election? The next? No, the RINO Juan McCain will not get my vote. At least Obama comes right out and says he’s a Socialist and a Liberal. McCain tries to hide it as he claims “I’m a Republican”.”

Oh we see now, your going to use this election for principles or to teach someone a lesson. Brilliant thinking, is there is any thought to it.

Obama will sign every thing the liberal house and senate sends his way. Obama will nominate the leftest judges you ever saw to SCOTUS, the aforementioned house and senate will approve them.

As distasteful as McCain is we have a chace to prevent some of that. But we will all be so grateful you stood your ground and let Obama win.

You probably really showed your mom by not eating your green beans or picking up your toys either.

That was brilliant too. What big guys you have grown to be.

!!FINALLY, somebody gets it, good job and thanks. Maybe those that are calling us unpatriotic will get the message and stop wetting themselves.

You're right, of course. There is no choice, simply because we have two Socialists in the running.

By the way, noob, cringe-making posts such as this don't do much for your credibility:

McCain may be too far left, but he's all we got.

"I only hope it is temporary and Osambabama won't do too much damage if elected."

Good luck with that...let me know how that turns out, will ya'?

"What is it about liberals (and McCain supporters) that you just can't get them to answer a straight question?"

Your question presupposes that all future elections will offer up a helping of the same...a presupposition I do not agree with...so YES, no straight answer for you on the basis of significant potential of irrelevance....

This race sounds like a “Anyone but Obama”, at least for the conservatives. If there are choices to be made between the worse and the worst, there is nothing but to make decisions to avoid the worst.
