SAN DIEGO (AP) ---- U.S. Border Patrol agents seized 680 pounds of marijuana from a sport utility vehicle near the border town of Campo.
A Border Patrol spokesman said agents spotted a shredded tire on the Isuzu Trooper and began following it Thursday morning on state Route 94 when the driver made a sudden turn toward a dirt road. The driver parked the car near the border.
The spokesman said agents pulled up to the vehicle and saw three men unloading bundles. When the men spotted the agents they dropped the packages and ran to Mexico.
