The Barack Obama campaign may have to update its new Web site set up to combat vicious rumors thanks to a fellow Democrat.
Tennessee Democratic Party Executive Committee member Fred Hobbs tells The City newspaper in Nashville, "I don't exactly approve of a lot of the things he stands for and I'm not sure we know enough about him. He's got some bad connections, and he may be terrorist connected for all I can tell. It sounds kind of like he may be."
Hobbs was giving an interview to the paper about fellow Tennessee Congressman and Democratic superdelegate Lincoln Davis, who has not yet declared his support for Obama.
Reacting to Hobbs, Davis' Chief of Staff Beecher Frasier says he does not know for sure if Obama is terrorist connected, but he assumes he is not.

Amazingly I had a similar conversation with a friend of mine today. She has always worked hard for the California democrats. Close enough to gray Davis that he called her for help during his recall. She is likely voting for McCain. She just doesn't know what Obama stands for.
I just don't see Obama winning as all of my close friends of the liberal persuasion except one seem to be leaning McCain.

I happen to be visiting in the Sacramento area of CA right now--and Obama bumper stickers abound in every direction.
We spent today on a beach at Lake Tahoe, and even in all that beauty, the Obama bumper stickers were on very many cars. I didn't see one sticker for McCain--haven't seen one since I got here a week ago.
Even though I am visiting one of my daughters and 3 of my adorable grandkids, I can't wait to fly back home to Texas tomorrow.

We spent today on a beach at Lake Tahoe, and even in all that beauty, the Obama bumper stickers were on very many cars. I think that is because those Obama bumper stickers are the white liberals' badge of 'Look at me, I'm not a racist'....'I'm voting for Presidential candidate solely because of his skin color (because any way you cut it -- that is the only reason anyone is voting for Obama. Even a dyed-in-the-wool Marxist would've voted for Hillary, all else being equal) - but I'm not a racist'.... Yeah, right.
You won't see the McCain bumper stickers because seriously - who wants to admit that? A conservative might end up voting for McCain - but I doubt they'd plaster his bumper sticker on his car.

I’m in So Cal, was at a work party last week — and EVERYONE at our table was drooling over Obama. Even the lawyer, which surprised me. And the business folks. Uck. We had to leave the party. It was quite depressing.

Ron Paul signs were just as prominent, if not more, and we saw how that worked out for him. Obama will be blown out by McCain in the general election in November.

I saw one today that had his photo on it. So are we going to see his poster everywhere if he wins? That creepy poster with the “Obey” comes to mine.

Listening to Rush lately, I'm wondering if he's got something up his sleeve to save us from McCain. This is jus a personal observation on my part--but I think he's got someting in mind for when the time is right--what, I have no idea.....
On my optimistic days, I can see Osama/Obama getting totally blown out of the water and the pubbies taking over both houses of Congress---but then --I just take my meds and go to bed--LOL!
This has got to be the nuttiest election cycle I have lived through!

That's good news but the "edge" they might have is the millions of new voters (Blacks and College potheads) the Obama people are registering and bringing into the political process.

Don’t forget that about 10% of Hillary supporters WILL vote for McCain. That’s enough to throw the election considering how close the national elections have been these past few years.

In my darker moments I think the LORD is going to give us what we deserve, and not the mercy He's generously dealt out in the past... For a people that have turned from the LORD, I can't say that we don't deserve the Obamamation of Desolation in the White House.
I hope we don't get it -- but I can't say we don't deserve it.
Although I hope your 'optimistic days' scenario plays out - we all know that all men have feet of clay, and will definitely disappoint. Thus we look to the LORD as our real Leader, Guide, and Saviour.

Most of my liberal friends and colleagues are so upset over Hillary’s ouster from the race, I just don’t see them supporting B-HO.

One problem they have with the new registrations... they have to get them to show up to vote.
