Strategerist, instead of your existing as a resident naysayer, why don't you provide proof along with your nonsense such as a link to a news article disputing AmericanInTokyo's first hand experience, or any research which supports your silly contrarian blurts.

For example, USGS site shows theoretical P-wave travel time as reaching Tokyo at 54 seconds for this particular earthquake.

That would still be one minute six seconds after AmericanInTokyo had heard the prediction broadcast in his local news.
