In his St. Paul victory speech, Barack Obama pledged again to pull out of Iraq. Rather than "continue a policy in Iraq that asks everything of our brave men and women in uniform and nothing of Iraqi politicians. ... It's time for Iraqis to take responsibility for their future."
War could win it for John McCain - and I might add that his stand on the insurgent problems of our borders might LOSE it for John McCain.
It should! If Americans would open their eyes and realize that if we leave Iraq that Iran could virtually stop the flow of oil from the middle east within a few days by blocking the Straits of Hormuz. People complain about $4 gasolin can you imagine what will happen if there is none to get at any price?
Too bad he doesn't say the same thing about his teat sucking constituents

Judging by this map, if Iran cut off the Straits of Hormuz, not only would every middle eastern nation that exports oil suffer, but the Iranians themselves would starve...
