Hard to believe that people dont know that full auto is virtually illegal for most.

Actually, full-auto is legal in most states. The requirements are that the weapon be manufactured before 1986, that the applicant pass a stringent background check by both his local LEO and the FBI, that the applicant pay $200 to the NFA branch of the ATF for a tax stamp (like the sort of tax stamp that bars and liquor stores buy) and that you wait until you receive that tax stamp before you pick up the full-auto weapon, or suppressor or short-barreled rifle.

You must also carry the tax stamp (or copies of it) with the weapon when you transport it, and if you take it out of state, you have to ask for permission from the NFA/ATF and tell them your route.

It’s very expensive, by the way...MP5’s are $12,000 and up, M-16’s are the same, while UZI’s and Mac-10’s can be had for less.
