I knew Olbermann was certifiably insane while watching his coverage of the Scooter Libby pardon. He was almost foaming at the mouth as he treated it like the most serious constitutional crisis in the history of the Republic. I thought he was going to burst a blood vessel right there on the set.

It was so over-the-top that for a moment I thought he was putting everyone on. But he wasn’t. He really is seriously deranged.

I thought that too the first time I saw Olbermann do one of his spittle-flecked rants. I thought he was going to have a stroke or a breakdown. Then I saw him do the same thing a few days later, and after that I realized he does the same thing every time he has a “special comment”. He looks like he's about to stroke out, but it's just an act for the kos crowd. He turns it on and off like a faucet. His deranged rants are a complete and total fraud, just like everything else he does. He's just a failed sportscaster putting on an act for a paycheck, as if he was in a soap opera. The blame lies with NBC for giving him a job and pretending he's a “reporter”.
