No, it was Bernoullis equation that showed usa that. If I'm not mistaken, that told us how we could fly. The theoretical ability to fly simply required the (continued) application of a force greater than gravity, which directly follows from Newton's laws.

Sorry but you are indeed mistaken, Newton's First Law of Motion is what you are referring to not his Law of Universal Gravitation. It is the third point of the Law of Motion that states “To every action there is an equal and opposite reaction”. One could indeed infer that flight was possible but really inference is all that you could claim. Don't make me get Physics'cal on yer a$$!
