McCain Asks Supporters To Campaign On Blogs
Slashdot ^ | June 20, 2008 | CmdrTaco

Posted on 06/13/2008 11:53:12 AM PDT by FreeInWV

"McCain is not the stranger to technology some think him to be. McCain is now asking supporters to stump for him on blogs. Republican Web 2.0 consultant David All was effluent with praise for this outreach, calling it 'smart' and 'unique.' McCain's blogger outreach section has a handy list of political blogs which might be interested in hearing about McCain, such as the DailyKos, Crooks and Liars, and Think Progress. You can even report your posts to the campaign and 'receive points for your success,' though the page doesn't say what exactly the points are good for."

Slashdot is not on their suggested blogs list. Can't imagine why.

“but you go ahead and vote for the jerk”

Give me a break, I would rather cut my hand off than vote for Obama. Dont put words in my mouth. I just said I would not vote for McCain. I doubt anyone on here, especially people like me who is a monthly contributing member and a member since 2000, would ever vote for Obama. A little to early for the juice dont ya think?

So, what’s your point? You aren’t going to vote for Juan, and you’re not going to vote for Barack Hussein Obama.

Then WHY are you here? This is not the time to try to re-align the GOP, all you are doing is trying to suppress the GOP turnout.

Now that the two parties have finally selected their presidential candidates, it is time for a sober-- if not grim-- assessment of where we are.

Not since 1972 have we been presented with two such painfully inadequate candidates. When election day came that year, I could not bring myself to vote for either George McGovern or Richard Nixon. I stayed home.

This year, none of us has that luxury. While all sorts of gushing is going on in the media, and posturing is going on in politics, the biggest national sponsor of terrorism in the world-- Iran-- is moving step by step toward building a nuclear bomb.

The point when they get that bomb will be the point of no return. Iran's nuclear bomb will be the terrorists' nuclear bomb-- and they can make 9/11 look like child's play.

. . . we do not have the luxury of waiting for our ideal candidate or of indulging our emotions by voting for some third party candidate to show our displeasure-- at the cost of putting someone in the White House who is not up to the job.

Senator John McCain has been criticized in this column many times. But, when all is said and done . . . The choice between him and Barack Obama should be a no-brainer.

Obama And McCain (Thomas Sowell)

OK, what is my pay for that! It's the best I can do. I can't tell anyone that McCain doesn't think - and legislate on the belief that - Big Journalism defines the public interest. And I can't tell anyone that that does not make John McCain a RINO; it certainly does.

All I can do is use Thomas Sowell's argument, above, that McCain is not quite as bad as Obama.

So vote early and vote often. </sarcasm>

“Then WHY are you here?”

Same as you, to express my opinion. Unless, like McCain, you would like to eliminate my right to express my opinion.

Go ahead and vote for the man who co-sponsored a bill to remove your right to free speech. I cant stand either of the choices, voting for McCain, in my opinion, is not the lesser of two evils, he is evil. I have and spoke to McCain briefly years ago - he was an arrogent ahole then - he is even more so today. Both of these candidates are a disgrace - but if this is what the GOP has become than I will work against them as I have against the demrats. I will only vote my conscience - if America votes these idiots in then we get what we deserve. It is not my fault.

No, there’s an election underway - you don’t want either Juan nor Obama to win, but one of them will. I’m not here to express my opinion, it’s to defeat Barack Hussein Obama.

How do you think McCain-Feingold limited your right to free speech? Examples?

Obama and the Giant Blogosphere Conspiracy

Those who Obama has thrown under the bus:

Obama's mother, Ann Duhnam, his grandfather, Stanley Armour Dunham, and his grandmother, Madelyn Lee Payne.

Democrat Barack Obama harnessed the power of the internet and the unbridled enthusiasm of his supporters to douse toxic "smears" stalking his shot at the White House.

While pursuing a war of words with Republican John McCain over taxes, the African-American senator unveiled a new website at www.fightthesmears.com to debunk false rumours peddled by email and right-wing media outlets.

The site was created after one recent, and thus-far unfounded, assertion that Obama's wife Michelle had been caught on tape slurring white people. ...continued

Abongo (Roy) Obama opted for Islam over Christianity, as Obama recounted when describing his (brother's)1992 wedding.

"The person who made me proudest of all," Obama wrote, "was Roy. Actually, now we call him Abongo, his Luo name, for two years ago he decided to reassert his African heritage. He converted to Islam, and has sworn off pork and tobacco and alcohol."

"Abongo (Roy) Obama inherited their father's hard-drinking ways but straightened his life out by embracing Islam and his African heritage."

Abongo "Roy" Obama is a Luo activist and a militant Muslim who argues that the black man must "liberate himself from the poisoning influences of European culture." He urges his younger brother to embrace his African heritage.

On the contrary, now is the perfect time. If McCain is elected, conservative influence in the GOP will be forever gone.

No, absolutely not - the GOP has elected much more liberal Republicans than Juan. Staying home and watching that twit get elected isn’t going to teach the GOP a lesson, but it might aid a communist revolution orchestrated by a crazy socialist billionaire.

Your country will be what’s forever gone.

I’m sure that playing the fear card is worth at least 30 points. Don’t spend it all in one place.
