Inquest Told Teen Died After Taking Abortion Pills
Fox News ^ | June 13, 2008

An English teenager died from complications two weeks after taking two abortion pills, her mother told an inquest into her death this week.

Manon Jones, 18, described by her mother as a devout Christian teen, opted to terminate her pregnancy at six weeks because she feared the pregnancy would cause conflict within her "Muslim" boyfriend's family, the Daily Mail reported Friday.

The teen took the first dose of medication to terminate the pregnancy on June 10, 2005, and the second two days later. On June 15, Jones felt light-headed and experienced heavy bleeding so her boyfriend took her to Southmead Hospital in Bristol, England for a scan. She was told the scan was "normal," the report said.

Days later, Jones cut short a vacation with friends because she still felt unwell. She returned home and checked herself into Southmead Hospital.

She died July 27 after being taken off life support.

The cause of her death was hypovolemia, an abnormal decrease in blood volume, and shock caused by "retained products of conception," including the embryo, Dr. Hugh White told the inquest.

A ding for both the effectiveness of the baby killing
drug RU-486, and efficiency of nationalized health care.

What was a “devout Christian teen” doing with a Muslim boyfriend in the first place - seems like that’s just asking for it.

When this product received FDA approval, I predicted a significant number of deaths within the first 5 years of use.
The cowards at FDA will do no more than relable the product and allow its continued use.

And she was an “A” student who had never been in any trouble.

If the girl was a devout Christian, why would she fornicate with a Muslim and then have an abortion?

She set out to commit murder and accidentally committed suicide as well.

I hate to say it, but ANY woman who hooks up with a Muslim is asking for a world of trouble, in one form or another.

Barak Obama would praise her for taking action so she would not be “punished with a baby”.

2 Corinthians 6:14...

And no, I’m not blaming her death on her lack of paying attention to the Bible (even though her mother claims that the girl was a “devout Christian”).

But paying with fire does tend to cause burns. A “Muslim” boyfriend, pre-marital sex, and then trying to do a self-abortion... three very dangerous decisions.

Abortion is not about saving women’s lives!

Studies Find Abortions Have Long-Term Effects

An Unexpected Correlation: The Legacy of Abortion

Study: Previous Abortions Linked With Pre-Term Birth and Cerebral Palsy

48,589,993

Total Abortions since 1973

------------------------------------------------------------

Why the drop after 1960? (in deaths of women from illegal abortions)

The reasons were new and better antibiotics, better surgery and the establishment of intensive care units in hospitals. This was in the face of a rising population. Between 1967 and 1970 sixteen states legalized abortion. In most it was limited, only for rape, incest and severe fetal handicap (life of mother was legal in all states). There were two big exceptions — California in 1967, and New York in 1970 allowed abortion on demand. Now look at the chart carefully.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Abortion Statistics - Decision to Have an Abortion (U.S.)

· 25.5% of women deciding to have an abortion want to postpone childbearing

· 21.3% of women cannot afford a baby

· 14.1% of women have a relationship issue or their partner does not want a child

· 12.2% of women are too young (their parents or others object to the pregnancy)

· 10.8% of women feel a child will disrupt their education or career

· 7.9% of women want no (more) children

· 3.3% of women have an abortion due to a risk to fetal health

2.8% of women have an abortion due to a risk to maternal health

----------------------------------------------------------------------

So how many women’s lives have been saved by abortion?

Only about 3% of abortions since 1972 were reported to be “due to a risk to maternal health.” A reasonable person would recognize that not all of those cases represent a lethal risk. But let’s say they did. That means that nearly 45 million fetuses were butchered to save the lives of about 1.3 million women. Or put another way; 35 babies are killed to save each woman.

Abortion was legal in all 50 states prior to Roe v. Wade in cases of danger to the life of the woman.

The introduction of birth control pills in that year.

Nope. The more use of birth control, the fewer unwanted conceptions. The fewer unwanted conceptions, the fewer abortions. The fewer abortions, the fewer deaths from abortion.

That is entirely false.

The Big Picture Behind Abortion John R. Lott, Jr. (respected statistician and author of More Guns Less Crime

Academic studies have found that legalized abortion, by encouraging premarital sex, increased the number of unplanned births, even outweighing the reduction in unplanned births due to abortion.

The case is made, backed up with hard facts, that liberalized abortion led to more unplanned births. But, as we all know, the Sexual Revolution began well before abortion on demand was legalized. You pointed to one of the major causes of that, the pill, but you wrongly assessed its effect. Like abortion on demand, easy availability of birth control led to widespread changes in attitudes about sex, with or without birth control, and in turn that led to more unplanned pregnancies.
