Again: if Obama had simply acknowledged that he was known as a Muslim as a child in Indonesia, and had left Islam later, none of this (besides the ties to the Islamic supremacists in Kenya) would be of any concern. But he has made it a matter of concern by denying what has been affirmed by so many others.

that his new religion is more radical than Islam.
It really doesn’t matter if he lied about either. The election will not turn on whether of not he was particularly honest about something he may barely remember from his childhood.

Seems to me a man that states hearing the Moslems call to prayer one of the most beautiful sounds he has ever heard is a Moslem.
There’s an unfortunate aspect to this. He could be completely and utterly serious when he claims he has never been a Muslim. I actually believe him - I think he has no true religious life except the one he found in Trinity Church (and that was only due to the socialist/marxist underpinnings peeking through the dead flesh of the corpse of faith in that church).
But let’s give him the benefit of the doubt because, like it or not, he IS more truthful than Clinton (but then again, who isn’t?).
So while he may honestly believe he never was a Muslim, and under reasonable standards of you and I it would indeed be true. But that isn’t the case for Muslims.
See, they don’t accept a personal choice in the matter. All that matters to them is “Did he recite that Muhammed was the prophet of Allah and that Allah was God?”
Being in a muslim school no matter how “moderate” means that he did indeed recite such a rote phrase - reflexively, without intent.
That lack of intent means nothing to the Wahabbi sect. The lack of intent, or of interest, or even of understanding means nothing. Only the magic words matter - and under their primitive medieval belief systems that means he is and always will be a Muslim. Since he went on to publicly reject Islam by joining a Christian church, they view him as an Apostate.
And for those 8th century barbarians, Apostate means the death sentence.
He’s in a pickle. And they DO consider him as being raised Muslim - his own half-brother clearly states so in a recent Jerusalem Post article.
If he weren’t such a horrible socialist dirtbag, I’d actually feel sorry for the guy.

That was going to be my reply. Why hide it? Why hide your birth certificate? Makes some bitter white people who cling to their guns and religion suspicious.
When you were a kid, did you ever continue to deny that you had eaten the cookies when the crumbs were on your face? Did you continue to maintain your innocence even when all your siblings and three of the neighbour kids saw you do it?
When you were in school and the teacher asked if you wrote that word on the blackboard, and you did, did you deny it even though the whole class saw you do it? Did you continue to deny it even when the teacher said if the culprit didn’t speak up, the whole class would serve detention?
That’s Obama. If what he did was broadcast on closed circuit teevee and the entire world saw him do it — he would continue to deny that he did.
For the same reason the kid denies he wrote the word or ate the cookies when everybody knows he did — because once he has lied, he can only choose to stick to his lie or to humiliate himself by admitting he lied.

The rest of the article says that his name at school in Indonesia was ‘Barry Soretero.’
I wonder if the problem with the birth certificate is that it will raise questions about why and how he changed his name.
I'd add that, from the various reports we've seen, most of the muslim world is rallying for his election. That ought to be a clue to anyone keeping track of the omens.
