Melanie Phillips is correct. Obama is to his supporters what they want him to be. Even Camille Paglia, who in my opinion is a more level headed democrat, sees nothing but greatness in this guy. Obama has no flaws whatsoever. Just read the last two articles she has penned for Salon (sorry I am not sure how to link articles or I would do so).
Then again Camille Paglia does belong to that class of women who choose to strap a dildo around themselves and pretend like they are a man so how level headed can she really be.
