On my copy it says, above the signature of the State Registrar (on the back) "I CERTIFY THIS IS A TRUE COPY OR ABSTRACT OF THE RECORD ON FILE IN THE HAWAII STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH" Now, keep this in mind, it is an abstract, not a photocopy of the original birth certificate. This is what people get issued when requesting a duplicate.

That is in the eye of the beholder, namely, someone who doesn't have a true and certified abstract of a Hawaii State birth certificate.
I have no idea if there are "issues" surrounding Obama's birth, but suggesting this document looks phony is barking up the wrong tree. It absolutely looks legitimate to me.

My ORIGINAL birth certificate had all that stuff, too. Unfortunatley a place I work lost it and I had to get a replacement. It has ONLY:
Name: first, middle, last
dob
sex
place of birth: county ONLY
father:
Mother:
date filed:
raised seals and signature of state registrar
Well I guess some of it would vary from state to state, but it raised my suspicion when there is no seal or signature of the registrar on the document.
