"Fightthesmears.com" could be "FighttheDiscussion.com"
Democrat Barack Obama's campaign said Thursday that Michelle Obama never used the word "whitey" in a speech from the church pulpit as he launched a Web site to debunk rumors about his campaign." --NEDRA PICKLER, AP
The Obama campaign is now going to be spending more time addressing rumors?
"Yesterday I wrote about the new team that the Barack Obama campaign was building to counter internet rumor as well as deal with inconvenient truths, by way of offering the "party line" on how to counter the rumors or the damaging truths." --Susan Duclos, Wake Up America
The Politician's Playbook says "to confront rumors, do not confront them." That's a smart move. The Mainstream liberal press has it's own "Don't ask Democrats, don't tell" policy. If the candidate doesn't talk about a rumor, the MSM will pretend it doesn't exist. No potentially-embarrassing questions that way--provided it's a Democrat candidate.
Addressing the rumors breaks the policy and the candidate is fair game.
So is this a smart move by the man who gets the Mainstream Media all gooey inside? Here's one vote for "yes".
Any time spent refuting straw man rumors--and that's less time spent talking about the issues: issues are not a strong point for the Senate's most liberal member.

Bernadette Dohrn, Bill Ayers’s wife, is one of the women in the Weatherman bomb factory in the Village when it blew up while they were making bombs to kill Soldiers at a dance at Ft Dix down the NJ Turnpike.
Dohrn is also the Weatherman that wrote and delivered their “Declaration of War” on America.
Most people call someone who declares war on America an enemy, Obama calls them “my friend”.
Let me know when he offers refutation to Larry Sinclair
Adding another website kind of adds to the discussion doesn’t it?
This is ironic because all the major media could be designated as “stopthesmear.com”. Also snopes.com amounts to an Obama apologist website. They claim to “debunk” several Obama stories.
Fire away. We’ve still got free speech. Use it or lose it.
Sadly, Sinclair’s refuted himself mostly. We’ve followed LS—and gave him more than the benefit of doubt—from the beginning. What Larry’s mostly interested in is raising money for Sinclair.
Then you’ve done a very poor job of following him.
It is not about fighting the “smears,” it is about shutting down the truth. They think that their success in shutting down the Republicans and President Bush in speaking the truth, they can now go after those of us on the web.
Bring it on fellas!
MAKES ME MORE DETERMINED TO SMEAR HIM.

Has anybody verified this is what it would look like. It looks more like a car title then a certified Birth Certificate. Hmmm Maybe its a title to a flood damaged brain.
Or:
Obama Says 10,000 People Died in Kansas Tornado, Media Couldnt Care Less
Imagine for a moment that one of the leading Republican presidential candidates said that 10,000 people had been killed by the recent tornado that destroyed Greensburg, Kansas, Saturday.
Do you think this would have been easy fodder for the broadcast television news divisions that always seem fascinated with gaffes made by folks on the right?
If your answer is an unequivocal Yes, then why did ABC, CBS, and NBC completely ignore Sen. Barack Obamas statement Tuesday wherein he accidentally exaggerated the death toll from the Greensburg tornado by 9,988?
[The certificate shown on Kos page is what you would get if you applied for a duplicate of an existing birth certificate,]
Exactly, looks like what I got when I sent for BC copies for passports, etc..
Not going to be one like the original with the little footprint and gold seal.
Thanks devolve.
.
It’s unacceptable here if applying for a US Passport or state driver’s license unless it has a signed notary imprint certifying it is an official copy
I had to send away for my ‘official’ birth cirtificate from Pennsylvania. It is plain jane looking, like the one I posted.
I see a faint ‘violet’ colored stamp on that one above but can’t read it.
