The oil companies could score some public relations points by starting a program offering reduced price gas to people on a means-tested basis.

I think the stockholders would have a valid complaint against any executive handing out free cheese . I mean free gas . Maybe the employees will be willing to work for 1/2 pay .

If oil companies start means-testing gasoline price... I just can’t post it.

The “poor” and “less fortunate” don’t pay their share in the first place. Right now the top 50% of incomes pay 97% of the taxes; needless to say, they also consume government services way out of proportion to their numbers in society.
Lets give the “Evil Rich” a break and to hell with the “poor” and the “less fortunate.”
