Agreed about drilling. But the reason we aren't is because of the environmental concerns. Unfounded concerns in my opinion with all the rules we need to follow.

As for the Cuban leases, U.S. companies can't use them because of our trade embargo with Cuba from what little I have read on the subject.

Yes, I guess we’d have to do some ‘creative drilling’ to get into the same fields from international waters.

On the other hand, Cuba would make a fine new US territory... ;-)
