Gee, if the Pakis really controlled the tribal areas, they would have a more legitimate claim to sovereignty issues with the Afganis and allies in dealing with problems over the “border”.
The sovereignty issue is a joke. This is Cambodia/Laos all over again. The Afghans get attacked and watch as the Taliban run for the border and a few minutes later the same Taliban are cooking supper in plain view.
We have a hot pursuit/open-border rule of engagement now. It is actually an advantage to let the Taliban operate close to the border and bunch up.
