His palace “is thought to have comprised five interconnected buildings containing the emperor’s office, chambers for children and several wives and even a zoo, according to Hernandez.”

His “palace” was more likely a clan storehouse, misdescribed by the Spanish as a ‘palace’. His ‘zoo’ contained not only animals, but specimens of disfigured humans, too.
