Barry has revealed himself as a fascist.
Increasing capital gains taxes “in the interest of fairness” regardless of the revenue effects or the effect on middle class mutual fund holders,
is simply a reflection of the fascist hatred of “idle capital” earning profit instead of only “labor” earning profit.

I was skimming the post titles and thought this one was "Welcome Black Carter" and the theme from "Welcome Back, Kotter" started playing in my head.
Looks like a new bumpersticker is on its way
Welcome Black Carter
Higher taxes. Bigger government. Intrusive regulations.

What would be interesting is to compare Carter’s policies with Obama’s and also to see the results of those policies side by side. I’m not up on Carter too much, other than hearing my dad complain about waiting in line for gasoline and 23% (?) interest rates. I do remember the fall of the Shah of Iran and the hostages though.

I plan on voting "none of the above" this November but I will give it up to McCain for his comment yesterday that Barak is going for Carter's second term (in response to Obama saying McCain is going for Bush's third term).
If McCain sticks with the meme, he can get into the Carter policies vis-à-vis Obamas.
One thing the struck me when when Obama recently stated that we can't keep our thermostats at 72 degrees. It echoed Carter's sweater wearing admonition that we should all lower our thermostats.
President Reagan put everything right in 1981. That's why I'm hoping that another Carter will lead to another Reagan.

Here are the lyrics to ‘Welcome back Kotter’ somebody suppy some new ones:
Welcome back, your dreams were your ticket out.
Welcome back to that same old place that you laughed about.
Well the names have all changed since you hung around,
But those dreams have remained and theyre turned around.
Whod have thought theyd lead ya (Whod have thought theyd lead ya)
Back here where we need ya (Here where we need ya)
Yeah we tease him a lot cause weve got him on the spot,
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back, welcome back.

The 1st carter presidency gave us mullahcracy and thirty years later its legacies we are still grappling with. What will become of the world after a second carter presidency???
BTW, Obama has already picked as HIS foreign policy adviser carter's same damned architect of mullahcracy, Brzezinski!!!
God help us all if Obama gets the White House.

America cannot afford another Jimmy Carter! He was America’s worst president and is America’s worst ex-president.

“He was Americas worst president and is Americas worst ex-president.”
Actually, Lyndon Johnson was the worst, but Carter comes close.

In a Boston suburb there was a huge gas line that my dad sat in. A young guy in a clean jump suit with a clip board walked up the line of cars. He said that everyone was allowed $4 or $5 of gas (not sure the total, it changed as my dad told the story over the years. To make the lines go faster you paid him and that way you got up to the pump, the guy put in $4 or $5 bucks worth and you were on your way.
My dad got to the pump and it turned out the kid was just scamming everyone and he had nothing to do with the gas station.
I always loved that story. Goood times! Good Jimmy Carter times!
