“We might not be able to get all of them (forged documents, stolen ID, etc...), but I bet if we knuckled down and actually made an attempt we could make a very large dent in the number of illegals residing in the US.”
The Indiana BMV has recently started checking names on drivers licenses against names & SS numbers in the SS database. If they don’t match, you have 30 days before your license is suspended.
They have also been arresting illegals and charging them with document fraud.
Hello, Cullyfoahnia????????? Is this thing on?????
One month in Los Angeles where there is serious HUGE enforcement to the tune of $2,000 fines PER ILLEGAL PER DAY, and go after food service, gardening, sweatshops, nannies in lovely Beverly Hills homes... Just do it for ONE MONTH... (thereafter do it once a week)
Absolutely!
We can deport as many as they can find. For however long it takes.
The IRS can't audit all tax returns either but you don't see them advertising that fact. At least the IRS makes you wonder if your return may be among the small percentage of returns they can audit.
For decades stupid politicians have faught employee sanctions for hiring illegals. They always said it would be impossible to determine legal status.
Arizona and a few other places have enacted laws to do just that and surprise, They work.
Seems the illegals go home or somewhere else like Calif. if they can’t get jobs and free health care.
Round em alllllll up and wend every illegal home.
Good point!!!
Actually, that's a brilliant idea, and if they can turn a profit, people will happily buy stock in any such company.
Sell it as a public works project and the democrats will line up to get their names on any piece of legislation enabling its completion.
Racist!
bttt
Cut off the welfare/entitlement/free medical care spigot and they'll leave in droves.
The ones that stay to actually work are the ones we want here anyway...
It is essential to realize that these 12 million people will not be shipped home at one time or even over a period of months. Assuming the federal government began today, a full scale search would take years to find these people. In addition to the obvious logistical problems, administrative delays and court challenges would delay the deportation of tens of thousands. And many would opt to return on their own.
Why would we only want to deport 1/4 of them?
We kicked a few million Germans out of Europe awhile back and those guys were smart and had good weapons too.
What makes illgel alien crimnal scumbags so scary?
Kyl? What’s up with that?
“Assuming the federal government began today, a full scale search would take years to find these people.”
I’d be happy if they’d deport the ones out in plain site! Like when they’re marching in our streets, attending our schools, living 75 to one house, standing at home depot. You don’t have to ‘look’ for them.
I'd dare say most here and most Americans realize this. So what's your position on removing incentives and reduction by attrition, which is the subject of the article. Your post leaves this reader in a quandry.
Nothing in that spewing forth really explains why we “can’t” deport 12 million (or the more realistic figure of 20+ million) illegals.
“Nothing in that spewing forth really explains why we cant deport 12 million (or the more realistic figure of 20+ million) illegals.”
There is really no reason why we can’t, you’re right. But this government isn’t going to spend a dime to enforce laws or build the fence, mandated by law....THIS is what they’re spending our $$ on.
Just breaking....
