Conservatives in the Crossfire
Canada Free Press ^ | June 9, 2008 | JB Williams

At a time when American voters have been sold the bill of goods known as “Democratic Socialism,” the nanny states promise to solve personal problems at the expense of freedom and liberty for the 50% of Americans who pay taxes, conservatives find themselves caught in the crossfire of a centrist campaign season.

What happens next may decide the foreseeable future of a nation on the brink of the worst possible kind of “change.”

Conservatives must do whatever it takes to keep Obama far from power, and regain control of the senate at a minimum.

America can not afford another Ross Perot moment!

I believe conservatives should be building for the future by developing a farm team, and in the interim, hammering the hell out of what laughably passes for a GOP nominee to get him on the right side of ILLEGAL immigration, energy, and the environment.

McCain and those who fearfully believe they must support him at all costs without disagreement are losing a valuable chance to change this train wreck of socialism light.

FTA: “Symbolism over substance has been the hallmark of liberalism for decades. Some liberals are far more concerned with “making history” than with doing something in the interest of freedom and liberty for future generations. What better opportunity than to elect the nations first “black” (half black) president and “female” (feminazi) vice president all in one sweep?

But most liberals are just looking for the best leftist to represent their march towards democratic socialism, and both Obama and Clinton are field generals of the socialist revolution in America. Combined, they really do represent a “dream ticket” for American socialists.

That means that they also represent a “nightmare” for every other American, who still believes in personal freedom, individual liberty, self-determination and the unalienable right to Life itself.”

You can’t stop socialism by putting our nations staunchest socialist in the Oval office. But I sure can agree with beating the hell out of McCain for four years...

“But McCain represents a nightmare of another sort. While McCain is far to the right of Obama, that ain’t saying much, since so was Karl Marx. Only Lenin and Stalin can be honestly described as left of Obama.”

LOL..great line.

Don't seem to be any Ross Perots out there anyway. Which is a good thing. He sure was a case of deceptive packaging.

Perot would be a great improvement over Obama/McCain.

Probably true, but that leaves room for plenty more. Improvement, that is.

Bob Barr on the Libertarian Ticket and don’t forget good ole Ron Paul, who is still slithering around...

I’d vote for Satan himself, against Obama.

Bob Barr is no improvement, and both he and Ron Paul are down in the statistical background noise.

The picture could change, but neither of these would be in it.

They don’t have to be “in it”

At a time when national elections are decided by 1-2% of the popular vote, how many conservative votes need to defect in order to elect Obama president?

Does it matter where they defect to, or why?

Perot put Clinton in office with only 43% of the popular vote. The nation is even more divided now, conservatives in particular.

Obama has the upper hand in this election at the moment. He has more than five times the money of McCain. He has the MSM. He has double the grassroots support, not counting Clinton supporters at all.

Obama is projecting a $100 million fund raising month in June. McCain will be lucky to break $10 million.

Conservatives can not afford a single defector in this election, yet we are likely to have many...

That’s the definition of FOOLISH!

Conservatives aren't represented in this election. Nothing to defect FROM.

I just read the part that you posted and frankly that could be talking about either of the two socialists running for POTUS.

"Nothing to defect FROM."

Never heard of playing defense?

We have no offensive field general. That leaves us with playing defense, or forfeiting. I'm strongly opposed to forfeiting!

We don’t have two socialists running for POTUS.

We have one candidate who is 65% conservative and 35% liberal, and another that is 1000% socialist.

You can pretend that there is no difference between the two, but that won’t make it true. The consequences of living in that fantasy will be heavy.

“We don’t have two socialists running for POTUS”

Haven’t heard about McCains’ love of Carbon Cap and Trade yet?

I’ve heard it all and then some.

That falls under his 35% liberal rating.

Are you not familiar with the 65% of issues he is conservative on?

Better take some time to learn about those positions too.
