In another disturbing sign that Sen. John McCain has little interest in reaching out to his conservative base, including evangelical Christian voters, his campaign has declined an offer to meet with the Rev. Billy Graham. For almost six decades, Graham has been Americas most influential preacher and evangelist, a man sought out by every president since Harry Truman.

Sorry Guys - BILLY GRAHAM (my first attempt at posting) - this article was so disturbing I just had to try to put it up here.
Here’s a headline that could use fixing.
Written by Doug Wead, the guy who secretly tape-recorded President Bush and gave the tapes to the Press. Whatta guy.
BTW, you didn't do so bad for a first post.
I've seen a lot worse.
Heres a headline that could use fixing.
I KNOW - but is it too late now? Can’t take it back, can I, or not?
It was horrible. Fifty lashes for llandres, Fiddlstix. Oh the humanity!!!
:-)
Can you explain?
I mean, why should the frail, quite elderly Graham have to travel to see McCain?
What sense does that make? If McCain won’t go where Graham is, I’d say McCain declined to meet with him.
Rush was truly angry about this today, among many other things he was understandably angry about...
I suspect that McCain will try to arrange a meeting. Short notice is tough when you are on a tight schedule trying to see as many Americans as possible. I’m sure McCain didn’t actually rebuff Rev Graham. He just has to rearrange his schedule.
NewsMax reached Dan Rather status with this one.
“I heard about this today. McCain did not rebuff Billy Graham. He tried to meet with him but Rev Graham was unable to travel to McCain. This is a non-story blown out of proportion by the accommodating MSM. “
Gosh, I’m glad to hear that - the main reason I wanted to post this was to get answers (which I was pretty sure you all would have), because I couldn’t IMAGINE what the hell JSM was thinking. As far as the MSM, usually newsmax seems more alternative and conservative. Well, sure wish the total facts would’ve been in this article, which made it sound like McCain’s camp just blew BG off, with a “boiler-plate” letter.

:-)))))))))))Thanks, I needed that!
If this is an indication of how adept his “handlers” are, he needs to start shopping for some new ones-—yesterday.
Hmmmmm.....
Nawww.....
50 is way too much for one typo......
Doncha think?
I do believe that McCain has finally cut all ties to conservatives.
No big deal. The mod can fix it if he thinks it must be fixed.
In that case, you must stand in a corner and repeat, “I’m a bad poster 500 times.”
