"The global-warming crisis wasn't created in a day, and it's not going to be solved in a day."
We're burning to bits and the 'do nothing Congress' can't do anything in a DAY?
The Auto-barf is in Auto-effect.

“It may be a small step for mankind,” said Lieberman, “but it’s a giant step for the United States Senate.”
I mean what’s more important - mankind or the United States Senate?

It wasn't really about winning, anyway. So nobody's crying over the Friday defeat of a Senate bill to counter global warming.Ummmmm, lessee - unemployment rising exponentially, mortgage crisis continuing to worsen, oil crisis . . . . . . . . (kinda speaks for itself), price of food rising due to price of oil, price of energy rising due to price of oil, air fares rising and airlines creating ridiculous charges due to . . . well, you know, and THIS is the most important thing on the Senate's agenda??!! A Globull Warming (bulloney!) just for show bill??!!
Do they have any idea how much Glowbull Warming they could fight if they would simply adjourn and go home?? No wonder Washington is hot in the summertime, the politicians won't stop talking (hot air alert)!!!!
So, as I get it, the Senate and the president are fiddling while . . . . . . . (sniff, sniff) is that SMOKE I smell??
Anyone still doubt that our government is irrevocably broken and the politicians are out of touch??

" ...sets the table for next year." This was the whole point! And it does not matter who wins the Presidental election in Nov.
Today when a McCain money donor in Richmond summed up McCain's advice as, "nuclear, and drill wherever we've got it," McCain responded: "You just gave my speech. Thank you, my friend." That comment had to be one of the biggest lies McCain has told! McCain will not drill in ANWR, off our Coasts or use our massive amounts of Oil Shale!

The Liberal Progressive Global warming scam bill, choking American industry and economy while China, India and other 3rd world nations spew tons into the atmosphere unchecked, and begin to catch up and surpass us.
Nice looking out for us, enemies within!

McCain must be taking a page from his buddy John F Kerry's more "sensitive" war. What's John going to say next, that he wants a "nuanced" Cap & Trade?
No doubt John's nuanced Cap & Trade will exempt Cindy's corporate jets and all the fuel guzzling large trucks used to distribute her beer so she can greedily profit over $6 Million a year.

And it was never thought likely to get through both chambers of Congress, anyway. But, Shultz said, "a hundred senators got more serious about looking at climate solutions than they ever had before." Build an man made sun.
Apparently Washington is better at regulating climate to suite us than the Creator is.

Ahm, their agenda isn't to choke American industry and our economy, it's to promote giving the fruits of our efforts over to the government so they can take care of our interests and concerns in life.
Of course after skimming the cream off the top for their personal efforts. ; )

I spoke with one of Warner’s staffers the other day and told her I thought this bill had the potential to send Warner and Joe Lieberman into the history books. On the same page as Stan laurel and Oliver Hardy, Bud Abbot and Lou Costello, and Amos Jones and Andrew H. Brown...
To: wendy1946
You tote THAT much disrespect and disdain for Stan Laural and Oliver Hardy???
