He is spearheading an operation to try to bring together grass-roots conservatives groups representing issues across the spectrum, from security to taxes to trade to social issues, but said it's been slow going.
Mr. DeLay said he will vote for Mr. McCain for president, but said it's unclear whether the presumptive nominee can win, and he said his wife, Christine, says she is planning to vote for Libertarian presidential nominee Bob Barr.
Mr. McCain, he said, is pursuing "a moderate Republican agenda," but has been schizophrenic in his approach to conservative voters, and it's hurting.
Delay was part of the crowd that sunk the party after being elected in the “Contract with America” election of 1994.
If Gingrich and Co had done what they were elected to do, there would be no Democrat Party today.
You may be right, but it is history now. What’s next?
Darned if I know...I think a few people made a lot of money and the rest of us are screwed.
I am voting Consitution Party. So, I can sleep at night.
That is the reality that we are facing. We need a fundamental change. We need to find our values and express them in a way that is right for the times and that we can agree on. This will be a coalition of that will be responsive to conservatives and moderate voters. 2006 should of been the wake up call where we realized our backs are to the wall. But, we did not do that.
I think after the election we will need some new blood. The Bush country clubbers need to go. I think a combination of Rudy and Newt would be good to act as co-chairmen of the party. These are men with a passion for politics and policy. They are persons capable of thinking out of the box. They have skills to wage guerrilla politics and meet the challenge. They are flawed as candidates because of the quirkiness of there personal lives and can be intemperate. But, Genius is sometimes quirky. They can together build a new message and promote it.
They should go through their call lists to contact former donors and after stating that this is NOT a call asking for donations, ask "WHY are you mad at us?"
They would get an earful.
Thank you for visiting my Website and taking a moment to learn more about me, my family, and my campaign to bring new leadership and a conservative voice to Congress for Texas 22nd District.
Im a husband, a father, a Navy Veteran, and I would be honored to serve you in Congress.
My roots are in Seabrook, Texas, but during nine years in the Navy I served our country throughout the world. Yet even when my service took me out of Texas, it never took Texas out of me. Today more than ever, I believe in family, faith, and freedom. I believe in the American dream.
I hope I can earn your support and you will join my campaign. There is a long road ahead of us, but together we can accomplish great things, so lets get started!
That's were Tom is dead wrong. It's the republican party that fails to accept the fact conservatives are an essential part of the party. Until the RINOs are flushed from the party conservatives will look elsewhere. Conservatives are more than knowing about the butt-kicking the republican party is receiving but yet party official pay conservatives no mind.

Could it be that folks simply have no trust in Tom Delay? Tom needs to start campaigning a little closer to home.
Agreed
There’s a lot there to consider.
1. Technology - using the internet, away from print and TV as core campaign methods.
2. Issues v party focus
3. “social networking” in new ways
Yeah, well, “The Hammer” sure did his part to advance the Left’s agenda by helping to get prescription drugs for seniors through. That being said, its only one brick in the wall.
The Democrats are now reaping the windfall of controlling the education system, MSM, and judiciary for the last 3+ decades. We have a generation of young people who have been indoctrinated and consider conservatism evil. Not all, but enough. That plus declining demographics among whites (thanks in large part to unrestricted immigration) is will help to give the Dems a solid majority for the forseeable future. I predict that such a coalition will be able to withstand another 9/11 or worse because they will blame America for it and too many people will accept that blame.
If things keep up this way, they’ll be putting conservatives in re-education camps in 20 years.
Rudy? Are you serious?
He is no where near a conservative and is one of the reasons we don’t have a good candidate when he and others diluted the field and got all the press.

Good night. I think I’ll stay up.
