I think some of the “Haghani Circle conservatives” here on free republic will celebrate.

Remember when the Tory party (PC) in Canada broke off and merged with the Reform Party, they were out of office for 12 years. Even now they have only a minorty govt that could change if the NDP or Bloc Quebecois merges with the Liberal Party to form a Govt.

It’s better to change from within.

Perhaps. But that "change" will never come through compliant voting for the lesser of two evils.

You've got to be kidding. Conservatives have made attempts to "change" the Republican party "within" for the last twenty years. Look where it got them....open borders, $4.50/gasoline, big spending, more government hand outs, NCLB...just to name a few.

The Republican Party can collectively blow it out their *!!@#$%. Republicans are no friend of the conservative.
