"Principled Conservatives are single-handedly keeping the RAT Party in power. "

Is it hard to breathe down there?

Wait for the pendulum to swing back. It won’t take long.

If the Democrats win big in Novemeber, and I assume that includes the White House, all Americans are going to have much bigger concerns than the relative states of their political parties. Confiscatory taxation, the end of both the First and Second Amendments, government suppression of dissent and the functional nationalization of health care and, most likely, the energy industry, all out war on Christianity and surrender to radical Islam and European style totalitarianism will probably distract many of us from concerns about the Republican Party.

If the Republicans lose in November, the 4 year olds will have the keys to the car. They’ll wreck it, and we’ll all suffer.

Agreed, my FRiend.

It's not as if we can just pick up where we left off after 4 yrs of Marxist Obama's "do-over" on our America.

- - We will have rights and property confiscated at levels unimagined currently.

- - Your children and grandchildren will not only be carefully programmed, but will turn you in if you say the wrong hate speech words.

- - The economy (your job, retirement, savings, you name it) will be in the twa-lette.

- - Our military will be ridiculed, scorned, financially ruined, and internally sapped, and may be ordered to wear UN uniforms.

- - al qaeda-sponsored terror events will happen, and won't be pretty.

- - Your Second Amendment rights will be toast.

And, for every bad thing that Obama's Marxism visits upon America, Pres Bush will get the blame. (It's the Marxist way.)

Perhaps one would think that Americans would wake up, and vote the rascals out. But they are ahead of us on that one.

We would still vote, but Obama (and his operatives and his judges) will do the counting from this point on, thank you.

Reluctantly, I see liberal, RINO, McCain as easy choice to the above.

.

OH, I think the GOP has done a pretty good job of that all by themselves. Corruption comes from moderate RINOs without principles. Which is why the Democrats control the Legislature as of 2006.

Where pray tell did the Principled Conservatives ever have anything to do with that?

(Don’t even try to claim we stayed home either. There is factual evidence that proves we came out in record numbers.)Truthfully, It was thanks to your Moderate, Independent/Swing, unprincipled, spineless friends who put the Democrats back in charge.

And here you go again, supporting them any way you can.

Principled Conservatives are single-handedly keeping the RAT Party in power.

The same with those holding onto their morals, ethics and standards.

Good Lord....

I feel like Charlton Heston in the ape movie.

This is a mad house....

On second read I take from your post that you are not a principled conservative.

The Republican Party, by choosing John Judas McCain, and walking away from principle, has already Whigged out. The path they are on leads only to the ash heap of history.

Knowing that the principles that undergird conservatism are the only ones that actually work, we’re building a new vehicle to carry those principles and those that hold them forward.

That’s what Americans do. If the old machine is too broke to fix, we build a new one.

If conservatives spent half the time they’re currently using to whine actually working constructively, we’d be halfway to saving the republic.

I've already left the party....well actually it left me. I will remain an Independent Conservative and work to elect conservatives back in office regardless of party.

Profound!

Knowing it and doing something about it are two different things, friend. That's why the second half of my sentence that you didn't quote is so important.

I would challenge you to keep an eye on this site as the week progresses, and in the weeks and months ahead:

As will I. We have had some amazing candidates come out of the party at all levels here in Iowa, and we are seeing Republican involvement in the grassroots like never before. It’s time to take back the party from ground up.

If the republican party is annihilated in the November elections what are your political plans? Stay with the party? Break-away party?

If the republicans lose in November it is not the end of the world. Worse, but not the end.

I will stay with the Republican party as long as they maintain conservative values, which does not seem to be the case lately.

I have my core values and look to share with others of the same. Because someone call themselves a Republican and want to lead but with different beliefs than mine does not mean I will follow. Who the $*%& do they think they are by changing the fundamental foundation of a party then tell me I have to follow them. I believe what I believe and will work with others for a common good but not to the extent that I must sacrifice what I believe in. What you believe in defines who you are and what you care about.

For the time being the conservative Republican party is what I am looking for but they are few and far between. So few in public office that have parallel beliefs as mine are willing to take a strong stand. Seriously disappointing.

Politicians want our vote but always want the voter to change their foundation to suit the politicians beliefs. I will not resign or sellout just to have someone to vote for. If they want my vote and the privilege of representing me they need to start "MOVING" in my direction from now on.

I believe you are on the wise course that every moral conservative in America should now be on.

When Goldwater lost in 1964, it took 16 years to recover. The first big winner after Goldwater was Mayor John V. Lindsay. It likes a long, long ordeal ahead, and I wonder if I will live to see the solution.
